Liquitex Clear Gesso is a high-quality, acrylic transparent primer that prepares surfaces for painting without obscuring the original texture or colour. Unlike traditional white gesso, this clear formula allows artists to preserve and enhance underlying details.
Liquitex Clear Gesso can be used over an acrylic underpainting to build up the painting with layers of cold wax, or oil-based crayons and pastels. It creates a textured “tooth” that improves adhesion for the oils, inks, charcoal, pastels, and more.
How to Use:
Apply with a brush, roller, or sponge in thin, even coats. Allow to dry between layers.
